India registers 145 new COVID-19 cases, active cases stand at 1946, Health News, ET HealthWorld

New Delhi: India has recorded 145 new cases in the last 24 hours, while the active cases in the country stand at 1946, which is 0.01 per cent, a health bulletin from the Union Health Ministry state.

A total of 91.40 crores of COVID-19 tests were conducted so far; 1,71,499 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate is 0.08 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.08 per cent.

“India has administered 220.22 crores total vaccine doses (95.15 crores second dose and 22.49 crore precaution dose) of COVID-19 have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 1,74,231 doses administered in the last 24 hours,” the statement added.

Also, 161 recovery were reported in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,41,48,976. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.81 per cent.

India crossed the 20 lakh mark of its COVID-19 tally on August 7, 2020, and by September 16, 2020, the country had crossed the 50 lakh mark. But by January 25, 2022, the country crossed the grim milestone of four crore total coronavirus infections.
