India logs 89 new COVID-19 cases, active cases decline to 2,035, Health News, ET HealthWorld

New Delhi: India has recorded 89 new COVID cases in the last 24 hours, while the active cases in the country stand at 2,035, which is 0.01 per cent, a health bulletin from the Union Health Ministry stated.

A total of 91.34 crores of COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far; 1,63,342 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. The daily positivity rate is 0.15 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 0.09 per cent.

“India has administered 220.17 crore total vaccine doses (95.14 crore second doses and 22.46 crore precaution doses) of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive. 50,871 doses were administered in the last 24 hours,” the statement added.

Also, 163 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours increasing the total recoveries to 4,41,48,472. The recovery rate currently stands at 98.8 per cent.
